Gone are the days when small GTIs were common. Today, with the tightening of antipollution standards, sales have fallen, causing many manufacturers to abandon this segment. As a result, sports city cars today can be counted on the fingers of one hand. And again, if we take into account the Toyota Yaris GR, which is much more powerful with 261 horsepower and 4-wheel drive, and the Suzuki Swift Sport, which, with its “small” 136 horsepower, does not play in the same field. In the end, only two real rivals, the Ford Fiesta ST and the all-new Hyundai i20 N, which just landed. And that’s the schedule for today’s match at La Ferté Gaucher circuit where our home driver Soheil Ayari will referee.
Even if the power (about 200 hp) of our two competitors is the same, the differences between them are many. First it starts for completely opposite views. As such, the Fiesta ST plays its sobriety card and it almost takes an expert eye to distinguish it from a smarter version. Only certain details such as a few ST logos, certain 18-inch wheels, a rear spoiler or dual exhausts. Especially for the i20, which does not go unnoticed with its huge roof spoiler and rear diffuser, a much more flamboyant style is far from agreeing with this combination of blue, black and red colors.

Beautiful performances that make you smile. But which one will have the blessings of Soheil Ayari, answer the La Ferté Gaucher circuit.
