After releasing the first version of the Porsche Taycan, German tuner DMC is back with a brand new 2022 iteration of the Aero kit for the all-electric sedan: the DMC Porsche Taycan GT3.
The Taycan is one of the latest models released by Porsche, and it didn’t come without some polarizing features. While some believed its design was far removed from traditional Porsche DNA, others welcomed the new style. German tuner DMC has decided to bring all parties together by creating a new Taycan that aims to please both parties.
DMC chose a subtle yet aggressive look with a professional upgrade that not only retains the original Taycan power but creates an aggressive looking beast: a carbon fiber aerodynamics package combined with 22-inch forged wheels co-developed with the Canadian wheel manufacturer, which optimally fills the available space in the wheel arches. Pur Wheels.
The designers used the latest aero software to develop a body style kit that makes the Taycan even more fluid and aerodynamically efficient. Gone are the days of analog wind tunnel tests that were good but had too many error factors. With the new aero-kit style, the Porsche Taycan got an even more exaggerated look. The components are made of particularly light but high-strength bare carbon and provide a matte or glossy finish.
To improve rear lift and thus ensure optimum aerodynamic balance, DMC upgraded the Tacyan with a combination of 2 spoilers on the tailgate. The larger rear wing adds the necessary downforce, which is useful when the Taycan is used on the track or on winding roads during performance events. A smaller duck, which can also be used independently, is mounted above the spoiler. Customers who don’t like big aero features will love the stylish duck spoiler that covers the OEM rear spoiler. It features an integrated deck lip spoiler that slightly reduces rear axle lift and adds a sporty look to the rear fascia.
For customers who really want to be noticed, DMC uses CNC services from its sister company, ZESAD. The brackets connecting the spoiler to the floor spoiler are made of individually forged aluminum. ZESAD can make 3D files with the customer’s logo, name or any other design, make the legs longer or shorter (subject to aerodynamic calculations) and therefore create a truly unique personalized product.
When it comes to wheels, Pur wheels have been a longtime partner for DMC and have produced some of the excellent wheels seen on the DMC cars showcased at the Geneva Motor Show. The wheel design of the Porsche Taycan is no different. While the tool shown here is not the standard DMC/Pur iteration, a full package is available on request. These wheels sport five double spokes and are fitted on the Taycan’s front axle in dimensions of 10Jx22 and at the rear 11.5Jx22.
As always, DMC also caters to each customer’s individual wishes in the interior with its superbly crafted leather and Alcantara interior. There is no limit to personal taste and the choice of colors is as limitless as the range of designs. Depending on the country of residence, this range may even include exotic skins such as crocodile and others.
