An art car highlighting a forgotten design
A year and a half later, at the beginning of October, 968 appeared. The two men turned a convertible into a spider, shortened the windshield, simplified the interior and produced a very special green paint job. This rather unpopular line of cars of the Zuffenhausen brand has been the subject of jokes from straight 6 purists, who blame the 924, 944, 968 and 928 for some underpowered engines and front engines for all. But beyond the technical considerations, the Porsche design was one of the purest designs to be found on the automotive planet at the time. The shark-like front profiles fit the rear perfectly while elongating these lines, and this is on all models of those years. Arthur Snow’s attempt to erase several plastic artifacts superimposed on the 968 series sounds very fitting to recall the relevance of the original design of the 968 series, born in 1992.
