Ferrari’s operating margins were again outstanding in 2021. The direct result of very high net profit with every car sale.

It’s the same story every year: If you’re looking for the manufacturer with the highest margins in the industry, look no further. Cross part of the Alps and go between Bologna and Modena… Ferrari, of course. Leaping horse had an excellent 2021 fiscal year surpassing its 25% operating margin, far ahead of groups like Tesla or BMW, whose margins are twice as low. And inevitably, it’s Ferrari’s jackpot that makes more money on every signed sale for an SF90, Roma or F8 than any other brand.

How much does Ferrari earn from sales?

On average, in 2021, Ferrari made €97,000 profit for every car sold. Knowing that the cheapest Ferrari is Rome, with an admission ticket of just over €200,000, the astronomical average earnings per sale shows that the overwhelming majority of customers prefer the catalog of options, the endless and sometimes expensive equipment. Mechanically increasing the Ferrari customer’s average cart… and the manufacturer’s profit!

To show how much money Ferrari is making, the number of cars other manufacturers have to sell to get the same margin.
