Automobili Lamborghini is once again certified as “Italy’s Top Employer” for 2022. The award, which has been received for nine consecutive years, recognizes Lamborghini’s healthy living strategy that puts its employees at the center.
The award of the “Best Employer Italy” award is a milestone for the company. Following the announcement of the Direzione Cor Tauri plan and its focus on sustainability, Lamborghini has planned major recruitment and new skills development programs over the next decade. The company will also invest heavily in training, using new technologies in virtual and digital environments to accelerate the learning of production line workers.
Despite the pandemic, Automobili Lamborghini’s employment figures are breaking the trend, thanks to growth even during this difficult period: the company currently employs more than 1,900, up 5.6% in 2021.
“We are justifiably proud to be certified Top Employer Italia again in 2022. Our company is a solid benchmark in Italy for excellence in people management. Our aim is to provide an attractive working environment for these employees who work day by day for the success of the company, by making a tangible contribution to trust, fairness and the quality of relationships. »said Umberto Tossini, Lamborghini’s Head of Human Capital.
Greater attention to employee health and Diversity and Inclusion
In addition to initiatives and projects related to all fundamental aspects of Automobili Lamborghini’s action plan, diversity, inclusion and parent and pay equality, the year 2021 has been characterized by an important welfare project with the launch of the Lamborghini Feelosophy programme. A name that combines the words “touch” (feeling) and “philosophy” (philosophy) developed by the Sant’Agata team to take a holistic view of their employees.
The Lamborghini Feelosophy program is based on three pillars (body, mind and purpose) and encourages initiatives aimed at improving people’s growth and well-being from a listening and continuous improvement perspective. The project includes longstanding initiatives on physical and mental well-being and is now enriched with new recommendations, for example, on the importance of sustainable nutrition and sleep.
Another key issue is diversity and inclusion. Lamborghini offers its employees a number of initiatives to help them reconcile their private lives with their work. To this end, the company offers coaching courses for father and mother, where mothers and fathers working at Lamborghini can talk to a coach about the changes that inevitably accompany the arrival of a child.
In addition, the company is committed to transforming all kinds of diversity into added value by addressing its various aspects in regular studies, conferences and podcasts made available to employees on the WeLambo app. Many different cultures coexist at Lamborghini (employees come from 35 countries around the world) and workers with disabilities and mental health conditions are fully integrated into the work environment. In terms of generational diversity, the company has implemented cross-sponsorship initiatives over the years aimed at promoting knowledge transfer between young and old, with a view to continuous improvement of skills.
