Ouest Encheres Publiques will organize the sale of classic cars on February 26 in Nantes, including a Porsche 912 and an Alpine A110 manufactured under license from Fasa Spain. Two models that are particularly appreciated by collectors.
Shortly after the 911 was introduced in 1963, Porsche chose to offer a cheaper model to please customers who were disappointed with the 356 being discontinued, the price of which remained accessible. The manufacturer inherited the latter’s four-cylinder straight engine, creating the Porsche 912, which was produced from 1965 to 1969. For a long time, this model was despised by collectors who preferred the musical six-cylinder. Still, it turned out of favor again as initial 911 prices peaked. The 1967 American copy, which will be available for sale in Nantes on February 26 by Ouest Enchères Publiques and broadcast live on Interencheres, has a chance to lure bidders. Offered in its original configuration, it needs some maintenance but is in good overall condition (45,000 – 50,000 euros) and above all it has not been converted. Nevertheless, a Ford Thunderbird of American origin, which fell off the chains in 1956, a year after the model’s launch, also has many advantages such as excellent exterior and interior condition, original fit and completely mechanically rebuilt (40,000 – 45 thousand euros).
French cars will be represented by an Alpine A110 produced in 1975. While most models were produced in Dieppe, a few thousand were assembled abroad under license; 1,566 of these were also included by Fasa Spain, a manufacturer that also makes Renaults for the local market. The example offered for sale was the subject of high-end preparation equipped with the 1300S engine producing 130 bhp DIN (52,000 – 58,000 euros). Another model originating from the Latin collaboration, the Isetta Velam is a “Microcar” designed by Italian manufacturer Iso and produced by French Velam under license from 1955 to 1958, with a few modifications that clearly distinguish it from its alter ego produced by BMW. same time. Particularly attractive is the copy for sale requires a reboot, but no big deal (10,000 – 13,000 euros).
